On March 11, Bedrock, in partnership with the American sports and entertainment holding company Rock Entertainment Group, announced plans to bring a 6,200-seat outdoor amphitheater to downtown Cleveland, Ohio, as part of its transformational development on The Riverfront. Live Nation will operate the entertainment venue, which is slated to host concerts, festivals, and other events. This follows comments made on March 10 by Jared Fleisher, Dan Gilbert’s top real-estate lieutenant, regarding placemaking efforts in Detroit and Grand Rapids. Fleisher is charged with redeveloping the Renaissance Center into a Detroit riverfront destination.
