On September 9, 2026, Beta Film acquired international distribution rights for the character-driven drama series "Blindspot Berlin" (6x1h), a Neuesuper production, ahead of its worldwide premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13. The same day, creatives behind "Babylon Berlin" reflected on the fifth and final eight-part season, set to release on the German ARD platform on September 10, with a 2027 U.S. release on MhZ. This follows Beta Film's earlier announcement on September 7 regarding the expansion of its "Maxima" franchise, with plans for a third television season and its first feature film, "Beatrix," building on its global footprint across more than 85 territories. Previously, on August 28, the Bulgarian drama "Shattered Bonds" (6x1h) was selected by the Serial Killer Festival in Brno. The series, which achieved a 23% market share on Bulgaria’s Nova TV, had also been part of the Berlinale Series Market conference program.
