News Summary:

On February 5, 2026, Channel 4 renewed the detective drama *Patience*, produced by Eagle Eye Drama, for a third series. This renewal followed the second series becoming the channel's most-watched show of the year across linear and streaming, with filming for series three set to commence in Belgium and York from March. Previously, on January 30, creator and star Mark Gatiss revealed that work had begun on a third season of *Bookish*, a show for which a second season had been confirmed even before the first debuted. This followed news from January 28 that *Gomorrah - The Origins*, a prequel to the internationally successful *Gomorrah*, secured a range of international sales. Earlier in the month, UKTV unveiled first-look images for the second series of *Bookish* (6x70’) on January 25, after filming for the U&alibi drama had recently wrapped, with Ruth Codd joining the cast.
