Bitel Perú, a privately owned telecommunications company founded in 2011 and operating under the commercial name Viettel Perú SAC, is a subsidiary of the Vietnamese company Viettel Telecom. Commencing operations in Peru on July 10, 2014, Bitel employs approximately 2140 people and is headquartered in Peru. The company's services include mobile telephony, and it notably possesses the largest fiber optic network in the country.
