Central Piedmont Community College, also known as Central Piedmont, is a state-owned public community college headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. Founded in 1963, the institution has an estimated 3,470 employees and functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. It is the second-largest community college in the North Carolina Community College System and the largest in the Charlotte metropolitan area, serving an annual enrollment of more than 40,000 students across its six campuses and three centers. Central Piedmont offers nearly 300 degree, diploma, and certificate programs, including those related to broadcast television and radio.
