Isabel “Isa” Gomez ’27 served as an Orientation Leader during her final year at Chapman University's Orientation Week, having first experienced the event as a first-year student in 2023. This followed Chapman University welcoming its newest students and their families to its Orange campus for 2026 Orientation Week on August 24, where Orientation Leaders, the Chapman Cheer Squad, and Pete the Panther greeted them. Earlier in the month, on August 17, 20 Chapman University students participated in the 2026 FIFA Host Broadcast (HB) Intern Programme at SoFi Stadium, supporting live World Cup production by assisting international announcers, monitoring video feeds, and delivering 360-degree footage. Separately, on August 13, rising senior Elissia Presti, studying Strategic and Corporate Communications, completed a summer internship as a Corporate Affairs and Marketing Intern at Bechtel’s headquarters in Reston, Virginia. Earlier in August, on August 11, political science major Will Basnight ’27 began exploring undergraduate research opportunities at Chapman after encouragement from Ann Gordon Ph.D., director of the Ludie & David C. Henley Social Sciences Laboratory.
