Conference USA is a privately owned intercollegiate athletic conference founded in 1995 and headquartered in the United States. As of 2023, it employs approximately 40 people. The conference's primary activity is organizing and overseeing spectator sports competitions among its 14 member institutions: Charlotte, FIU, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Old Dominion, Rice, Southern Miss, UAB, UTEP, UTSA, and WKU.
Conference USA received two bids in a projected NCAA tournament field of 64. On March 25, 2025, the organization announced that 19 student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams. For the first time in two years, two Conference USA teams, MTSU and Jax State, will participate in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Conference USA also announced its postseason Men’s Basketball All-Conference, All-Freshman, and All-Defensive Teams, along with Superlative Awards. Jax State's player received Player of the Year honors. Sam Houston defeated UTEP 89-87 on an unspecified date.
