Consejo Consultivo de Radio y Television, also known as Concortv, is a state-owned entity based in Peru, operating under the Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones. Founded in 2004, the council operates with approximately 10 employees. Established under Peru's Law of Radio and Television (Law No. 28278), the autonomous, plural, and consultative public entity functions as a non-binding regulatory and advisory body tasked with promoting best practices, ethical standards, and social responsibility within the national broadcasting sector. Concortv serves as a bridge between civil society, the state, and private broadcasting companies, ensuring that media platforms respect fundamental rights, foster cultural identity, and support citizen education. The council is composed of representatives from various sectors, including journalist associations, universities, consumer defense groups, and the executive branch.
