On July 7, 2025, Fidium announced another expansion, bringing its all-fiber network to over 450 homes and businesses in Brownville, Maine. August 5, 2025, saw the announcement of a further expansion in Washington County, Maine, providing multi-gig speed internet to over 4000 homes and businesses in the Calais and Lubec areas. Separately, on September 17, 2025, Consolidated Communications announced a planned CEO transition. Bob Udell will retire at the end of the year and become Vice Chairman of the Board, with Gaurav Juneja, currently COO, becoming CEO at the beginning of 2026. Consolidated Communications also announced a strategic fiber deployment at Fibertown Data Center’s Houston facility.
