This supports Telus' plan to implement Canada's first virtualised commercial-grade Open RAN network. The RIC uses AI and automation to optimize network performance. Separately, Telus announced plans to make Telus PureFibre services available to 95 percent of homes and businesses in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. This project, supported by a CAD 40 million investment from F3 Networks, will involve over 150,000 meters of fiber construction and collaboration with construction contractor AFL.
