Turk Telekom, also known as Türk Telekomünikasyon Anonim Sirketi, is a publicly owned company headquartered in Ankara, Turkey. Founded in 1840, the company operates with approximately 14,790 employees and reported $6.1 billion in revenue as of 2025. Functioning as an integrated telecommunications and technology company, Turk Telekom specializes in telecoms, having transitioned through several historical phases from the PTT (Postal Telegraph Telephone) directorate to a state-owned enterprise in 1994, and then to a privatized entity in 2005. As of 2026, the company is majority-owned by the Turkey Wealth Fund (60%) following a re-nationalization period in 2022. It serves approximately 53.6 million subscribers across its mobile, broadband, and television segments.
