Mobile TeleSystems Public Joint Stock Company (MTS Group), a publicly owned telecommunications group founded in 1993, is headquartered in Russia. Employing approximately 9,600 people, MTS offers mobile and fixed-line voice services, broadband internet, pay television, and various content and entertainment services across Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. Its services reach mobile subscribers in Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, and Belarus. The company's shares are listed on the New York Stock Exchange (MBT) since July 2000 and on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX, MTSI) since November 2003. In 2023, MTS reported revenues exceeding $1 billion.
On May 27, 2024, Ilya Filatov, the former head of MTS Bank and the fintech division, was appointed senior vice president in charge of finance and investment at Sistema PJSFC. MTS reported that net sales in 2021 were comprised of mobile telecommunications services (75.9%), equipment and accessories sales (14.4%), financial services (8.7%), and other services (1%). Russia accounted for 97.4% of net sales. The company will announce its fourth-quarter and full-year 2024 financial and operating results on March 5, 2025.
