On August 14th, 2025, Commando released issues 5875-5878, marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Japan Day, featuring new stories by Paul Cornell, Steve Yeowell, Damien de Sousa, and Vicente Alcazar. Later, on August 28th, 2025, Commando issues 5883-5886 went on sale. In January 2025, Thomas Hawkins began acting as editor of The Sunday Post, before being promoted to editor. He replaced David Lord, who became editorial director for DC Thomson’s energy portfolio. Additionally, Hibernia Comics announced the return of King Cobra, a character who debuted in Hotspur in 1976. A notification was filed indicating DC Thomson & Company Limited acquired or disposed of voting rights in Mothercare PLC.
