Digea, a privately owned Greek company founded in 2009, provides connectivity and distribution services. Established by seven commercial television channels (Alpha, Alter, Antenna, Macedonia TV, Mega, Skai, and Star), its primary function is the operation of a nationwide digital terrestrial television network. As of 2023, Digea employs approximately 50 people and generates annual revenues of less than $25 million.
In 2009, Digea, a consortium of seven major private Greek broadcasters, was established. In a partnership with regional systems integrator Cybertec, Digea implemented Agama Technologies as the provider of a headend monitoring solution for its digital terrestrial transmissions of private channels across Greece.
