The Eastlink Centre's aquatic area will undergo annual shutdown maintenance from September 1st to October 5th, 2025. This closure allows for the completion of necessary maintenance tasks. The lazy river at the Eastlink Centre will also close for renovations, expected to cost $1 million, with reopening anticipated sometime in December. The remainder of the aquatic centre will reopen on October 5th, 2025, following the completion of annual maintenance. Separately, Eastlink announced potential service reductions in some rural markets due to a CRTC ruling on wholesale internet access and expressed disappointment with a federal government decision allowing larger telecom companies to utilize smaller providers' networks, citing concerns about the impact on competition.
