EdgeConneX, a privately owned company headquartered in the US, was founded in 2009, operates with approximately 250 employees, and specializes in data centre infrastructure. The company builds and operates purpose-built data centers.
On June 25, 2026, AdaniConneX, a joint venture between Adani Enterprises Limited and EdgeConneX, completed the acquisition of a 100 percent stake in Madhuvanti Build Estate Limited for Rs 765.25 crore, a company established to undertake infrastructure operations. Previously, on June 24, EdgeConneX received recognition as a WTOP Washington Top Workplace for 2026 among companies in the D.C. region. This followed an announcement on June 21, where EdgeConneX detailed plans to invest approximately €3 billion (US$3.5 billion) in three data center campuses in northern Italy's Lombardy region by 2031. The Italian government declared this project of strategic national interest.
