The European Judo Union (EJU), founded in 1948 and headquartered in Austria, is a non-profit organization. Employing approximately 50 people, the EJU is one of five continental unions within the International Judo Federation (IJF). As of 2023, it comprises 51 national judo federations or associations, each officially recognized by their respective National Olympic Committees. The EJU's primary activity is the organization and governance of judo competitions and related events.
The European Judo Union (EJU) announced that the EJU Medical Seminar 2025 will take place in Dubrovnik, Croatia from November 28–29, 2025, with participant arrival on November 27 and departure on November 30. September 2024 was dedicated to the core value of Pro-Activity, with Olympian Lubjana Piovesana of Austria serving as ambassador. A third call for contributions to the 8th Scientific and Professional Conference on “Applicable Research in Judo” was issued for the November 12–13, 2025 event in Zagreb, Croatia. The Austrian federal government will continue financial support for the EJU Head Office in Vienna until the end of 2027. The EJU organized an international training camp in Skopje, North Macedonia, for the Azerbaijan national junior male judo team.
