News Summary:

On July 31, 2026, Fanatics agreed to acquire Water Street Labs, a CFTC-registered Designated Contract Market, and CX Clearinghouse, a registered Derivatives Clearing Organization, from BGC Group. This acquisition provides the global sports platform direct ownership of the exchange and clearing infrastructure, enabling it to expand its prediction markets business and list and clear markets directly through its Fanatics Markets app, rather than routing trades through an outside partner. Previously, on July 30, BGC Group's second-quarter earnings call highlighted a strategic partnership with Fanatics to build a prediction market ecosystem, combining BGC's client network with Fanatics' 100 million customer database. Also on July 30, Fanatics Fest returned to the Javits Center from July 16-19, attracting over 200,000 sports fans and setting an attendance record in its third year.
