Federation of International Bandy, also known as FIB, is a privately owned organization headquartered in Sweden. Founded in 1955, the organization functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer, serving as the international governing body for the sport of bandy.
The historic first International Short Bandy Tournament successfully concluded in Porrentruy, Switzerland, on September 12-13, marking a new chapter for international club competition with the 2026 Short Bandy Swiss Cup. This followed the Federation of International Bandy's (FIB) decision on September 11 to include Short Bandy as a new discipline, announced at the FIB Annual Congress 2026 in Pori, Finland, where the format gained interest for its similarity to big ice bandy. Earlier, on August 21, FIB reflected on the last senior World Championship tournament Men A, held in Pori, Finland, from January 12-18, where Sweden secured the championship in Russia's absence, despite Finland's strong preliminary-round win against Sweden. In August, FIB concluded its "Legends of Bandy" series, a summer presentation of current Hall of Fame members. On August 18, the final part featured Leo Segerman of Finland, an 84-match international veteran with one World Championship silver and four bronze medals. This followed the August 11 feature on Attila Adamfi of Hungary, who became a member earlier in 2026 and represented Hungary in over 100 international matches at World Championships between 1991 and 2015.
