In September 2016, the firm acquired a 27.9% stake in Luc Besson's French studio, EuropaCorp, for approximately $67 million, becoming the second-largest shareholder in that company. Over its operational history, the studio has backed, co-produced, and distributed various action, science-fiction, and thriller features, including Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, The Transporter Refueled, The Warriors Gate, 24 Hours to Live, Nine Lives, and Replicas.
