Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) is the national public broadcaster of Georgia, founded in 2004. It offers broadcast television and radio services. GPB started radio broadcasting in 1925 and television broadcasting in 1956. The First Channel reaches 85% of the Georgian population, while the Second Channel reaches 55%. GPB's programs can also be accessed via satellite and the internet in several European and Asian countries. The company is state-owned and has a staff of around 260 employees.
