Employing approximately 50 people and headquartered in Germany, the DVV oversees the sport at the national level. As of 2023, it maintains memberships within the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB).
