HD Plus opened a free-to-air showcase channel for the German Football Association’s new DFB.TV service on Astra (19.2° East) on April 15, 2026, making it available unencrypted to DTH satellite households on frequency 11954 GHz H (SR 27500 FEC 3/4). Earlier, on February 19, 2026, the German TV platform operator appointed Raoul Ibler to lead its marketing division, consolidating sales and marketing responsibilities under his unified leadership in addition to his existing role as Head of Commercial. This followed the September 24, 2025, announcement that SES and HD PLUS GmbH would increase their cooperation, with Christoph Mühleib, Managing Director at SES in Germany, succeeding Andreas Müller-Vondey as the new Managing Director of HD PLUS GmbH and joining its management board, effective October 1, 2025.
