The International Fencing Federation (FIE) invited athletes competing in the FIE Senior World Championships 2026 to an International Training Camp in Hong Kong, China, scheduled from July 16 to 21, 2026. Previously, on June 23, the FIE and the Fencing Association of India (FAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and support the continued growth and promotion of fencing in India, particularly ahead of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Earlier, on June 3, the FIE removed all restrictions related to the Ukraine conflict on Russian and Belarusian fencers, enabling athletes from both countries to compete under their national flags and anthems.
