This followed the announcement on March 5, 2025, that 2023 Supercars champion Brodie Kostecki would replace Jamie Whincup in Team Australia Supercars for the 2025 Race Of Champions. The official draw for the opening rounds of both the ROC Nations Cup and Race Of Champions contests had been confirmed on March 4, 2025.
