Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK) is a state-owned public service broadcaster founded in Norway in 1933. Employing approximately 3,240 people, NRK's primary output consists of television and radio programming. In 2023, the company's revenue was less than $1 billion. Its headquarters are located in Norway.
On March 18, 2025, HENT was awarded a contract to construct a new headquarters for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. Norconsult ASA will provide engineering consultancy services for this project. A design competition for the new headquarters at Normannsløkka in Oslo was won by Arup, in collaboration with Nordic Office of Architecture and Rodeo Arkitekter. The design includes approximately 60,000 square meters of gross floor area and 50,000 square meters of utility floor area, incorporating various specialist spaces. Anders Hofseth, a strategic advisor at NRKbeta, attended the South by Southwest (SXSW) conference in Austin. A separate news story reported on unusually high sea temperatures in the Oslofjord.
