The Italian Ministry of Economic Development, also known as MISE, is a state-owned entity headquartered in Italy. Founded in 2013, and employing approximately 1,130 individuals, the ministry functions as a department of the Italian government, responsible for the development and implementation of economic policies that promote the growth of Italian businesses and industries.
The Ministry of Enterprise and Industry (Mimit) and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) on April 21, 2026, postponed the compulsory insurance requirement for electric scooters to July 16, 2026. Previously, on April 13, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (Mimit) reported average self-service fuel prices across the national road network at €1.779 per liter for gasoline and €2.153 per liter for diesel, based on its Fuel Price Observatory data. This followed Mimit's report on April 12, which indicated average self-service fuel prices of €1.783 per liter for gasoline and €2.160 per liter for diesel. Earlier, on April 11, Mimit dedicated a postage stamp to Ducati, celebrating its 100-year history as part of the “Excellence of the Production System and Made in Italy” series, recognizing the company's contribution to promoting Made in Italy globally. On April 9, Mimit noted falling average fuel prices, attributing part of the decline to downward adjustments by oil companies, including reductions in recommended diesel prices by up to 8 euro cents per liter from the previous day.
