Jet Tone Films

Jet Tone Films, also known as Jet Tone Production, is a privately owned company headquartered in Hong Kong. Founded in 1991 by filmmaker Wong Kar-wai alongside director Jeff Lau, the company, which employs approximately 10 individuals, reported $5.3M in revenue as of 2024. It operates as an independent film production and media company specializing in content rights, maintaining regional offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Taipei. The studio was established to provide artistic governance and creative independence for cinematic works and has since become a force in global arthouse and independent cinema, producing narrative features. Its library, a pillar of modern Hong Kong film history, includes Chungking Express, Fallen Angels, Happy Together, In the Mood for Love, 2046, The Grandmaster, and international co-productions such as My Blueberry Nights.
