Klang, also known as KLANG:technologies, is a privately owned German company headquartered in Germany and is a subsidiary of DiGiCo. Founded in 2013 and employing approximately 20 individuals, the company reported $1.3M in revenue as of 2024. It specializes in the development of 3D in-ear monitor (IEM) mixing systems designed to address the technical and psychoacoustic limitations of traditional stereo in-ear monitoring. The company's immersive processing technology was deeply integrated into DiGiCo's mixing consoles following its acquisition by DiGiCo in 2018. KLANG's technology is utilized in touring, houses of worship, and musical theater settings by artists such as Alejandro Fernández and Alissa White-Gluz, providing clarity, spatial awareness, and reduced listener fatigue during live performances.
KLANG technology recently powered Bulgarian artist Grafa's immersive 360-degree concert in Arena 8888 Sofia on July 29, 2026, where monitor engineer Boris Yanakiev utilized DMI-KLANG with a DiGiCo Quantum 338 to deliver spatialized monitor mixes for the band, with each musician using a KLANG:kontroller. Earlier in July, "The Phil Collins Story," a docu-concert celebrating the artist's life and career, embarked on a 50-city North American tour, having debuted on February 3 in Syracuse, New York. This production relies on a DiGiCo Quantum225 console loaded with KLANG technology to create an immersive experience. Previously, on June 25, 2026, KLANG expanded its console integration with the release of KOS 6, the latest operating system update for its immersive in-ear mixing platform. This free firmware update introduced native SSL Live console support, enabling engineers to directly control immersive mixing functions from the console surface.
