Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT) chose Ericsson to deploy 5G Standalone nationwide. This involved modernizing LMT's cloud infrastructure and replacing legacy communication services and user data management systems with a service-based architecture. A separate agreement with Ericsson focuses on modernizing LMT's subscriber domain infrastructure to support 5G expansion across Latvia. Additionally, LMT leads a European consortium that received up to €10.09 million from the European Defence Fund (EDF) to develop an advanced long-range unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system as part of the VANTAGE project. The VANTAGE project also utilizes UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía's advanced autonomous navigation systems for next-generation tactical VTOL drones.
