Earlier in April, LMT Group's traffic monitoring solution in Riga reported a 66% reduction in red-light violations over the past six months, operating across nine locations in the capital. This follows a March 24, 2026, statement where LMT representative Alvis Buraks emphasized the necessity of state involvement in providing mobile coverage in Latgale. Buraks noted that building a single tower costs LMT between €100,000 and €150,000, raising questions about the economic justification for such investments in areas like wetlands near the border, which often present "white spots" in network coverage.
