Major League Rugby (MLR) is a privately owned professional rugby league founded in 2016. Headquartered in the United States, it employs approximately 90 people and, as of 2023, represents the top level of rugby competition in North America. Its primary product is spectator sports.
Major League Rugby (MLR) announced a partnership with World Rugby on an initiative to improve injury prevention. The partnership will see MLR become the first league to trial LED light technology integrated into smart mouthguards for early concussion detection. Separately, the Utah Warriors played the New England Free Jacks in Week 7 of the MLR season.
