Marquis, a privately owned UK-based company founded in 1998, provides broadcast professional services. With approximately 20 employees and annual revenues under $10 million (as of 2023), Marquis specializes in software solutions for content workflows and media integration. Their products, which include tools for storage management, project portability, and archiving, are used by a diverse clientele ranging from major studios and broadcasters to smaller post-production houses and individual users. Marquis is a subsidiary of Dan Technologies.
In April, Avid launched a new production framework, Avid on AWS, providing access to post-production solutions. ITV Studios contacted Marquis in 2024 to develop a solution for managing end credits for Coronation Street. Marquis plans to demonstrate a beta version of Postflux for Pro Tools at the MPTS show, expanding its existing Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve compatibility. At the NAB Show, Marquis showcased its Medway software's workflow with Adobe Premiere Pro, demonstrating ingest and edit workflows and integration with asset management systems. Marquis also announced the appointment of Jason Cowan as Managing Director and Paul Glasgow as Sales & Marketing Director.
Marquis's customers primarily consist of broadcast television and radio and banking companies. Examples of Marquis's customers include Jyske Bank, Radiotelevision Espanola and Sinclair Broadcast Group. Marquis has commercial and technical partners like Avid, LiveU and Sony Professional Solutions.
