Previously, on February 6, members of the Marriott family pledged $100 million to Mayo Clinic Rochester. This donation will support the clinic's downtown rebuild and fund a new two-story public space to be named the Marriott Family Atrium. Also on February 6, Marriott International announced that Debra L. Lee, a member of its Board of Directors and chair of the Board’s Inclusion and Social Impact Committee, informed the company she will not stand for re-election at the 2026 annual shareholders’ meeting. Her decision was not due to any disagreement with Marriott’s operations, policies, or practices.
