On March 12, MediaForEurope (MFE) expanded its footprint in Portugal by subscribing for newly issued Impresa shares, representing 32.934% of the share capital and voting rights in the owner of commercial broadcaster SiC. This €17.3 million investment followed a previously agreed deal with Impresa and its parent company Impreger. Also on March 12, commercial broadcaster Mediaset secured a sublicensing agreement with sports streaming platform DAZN to broadcast selected Formula 1 and MotoGP races on its free-to-air channels in Spain. The agreement includes two Formula 1 events: the Spanish Grand Prix (June 12–14) and the inaugural Madrid Grand Prix (September 11–13). Previously, on March 10, ProSiebenSat.1, a German broadcaster controlled by Italy's Berlusconi family, decided to retain its online units ParshipMeet and Flaconi while exploring the sale of the rest of its digital portfolio, according to sources familiar with the matter.
