MontanaPBS is a privately owned public broadcasting group founded in 1984. Headquartered in the United States, it employs approximately 50 people and operates broadcast television and radio services. Reaching over 150 communities across Montana, its annual revenue was less than $50 million in 2023.
MontanaPBS plans to expand, unlike many other public broadcasting stations across the country. Congress made unprecedented cuts to public television funding earlier this year, causing many stations to struggle. MontanaPBS, however, is an exception and intends to grow.
