On June 9, 2026, Montana PBS earned two Northwest Emmy Awards for its program “11th and Grant with Eric Funk.” The show's crew, composed almost entirely of Montana State University alumni and students, operates with individuals often holding multiple roles, such as Scott Sterling who serves as director, producer, lighting and set designer, and editor. Previously, on September 8, 2025, MontanaPBS announced plans to expand its services into Eastern Montana. This initiative follows Congress’ unprecedented cuts to public television funding earlier that year, positioning the statewide broadcaster as a rare exception amidst other stations scrambling to maintain their existing operations.
