Founded in 1979, it serves as the national governing body for four-wheel motorsports in the United Kingdom. Motorsport UK announced the opening of a Notice of Intent period for New Kart Class Homologations, open until 20 June 2025. A British StreetCar EcoRally, organised by Ilkley and District Motor Club on 14 June, offers participants the potential to become an FIA World Championship driver within six months. Additionally, Motorsport UK Esports will host the Abruzzi Prototype Challenge, an iRacing sim racing competition for professional and amateur drivers, with apparel included in the prize pool and races broadcast live via RaceSpot TV.
