Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is a privately owned South Korean television and radio network founded in 1961. It is one of the four major national networks in the country. MBC's flagship terrestrial television station is Channel 11 (LCN) for Digital. The network is managed by the Foundation of Broadcast Culture, which owns 70% of the company's stock, while the Jung-Su Scholarship Foundation owns the remaining 30%. MBC receives no government subsidy and generates its revenue primarily through commercial advertising. It has 19 regional stations and 10 subsidiaries. As of 2020, MBC had approximately 4,000 employees and generated less than $500 million in revenue. The company is headquartered in South Korea.
