National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) announced a three-year partnership with Rugby Travel Ireland, designating them as the official international travel partner. On June 4-9, 2025, NCR sent men's and women's teams to the Algarve 7s tournament in Portugal. The women's team, known as the NCR Griffins, competed in the Women's Championship bracket against Ubuntu (a Portugal-based team), and St. Andrew's University (Scotland) on June 7th. The Griffin was also introduced as the official mascot of NCR's high-performance program.
