Nestlé announced on July 10, 2026, a 23 billion baht investment for a new NESCAFÉ manufacturing facility in Thailand, aiming to expand its coffee production capacity and support local agriculture by utilizing Thai-grown raw materials. This greenfield facility, which the company expects to be AI-powered, is projected to create over 520 skilled engineering and tech positions. Earlier on the same day, a small Seattle-owned coffee company reported it is contesting a new legal challenge from Nestlé, stemming from a 2025 petition filed by Nestlé to cancel Seattle Strong's trademark registration, alleging infringement on its "Seattle's Best" product trademark. Previously, also on July 10, Nestlé Business Solutions (NBS) selected Hyderabad, India, as the location for its new Global Capability Centre (GCC), a move to strengthen its global business services network and develop capabilities for broader service delivery across geographies.
