On July 16, 2024, Zyxel Communications announced new firmware validating 10Gbps internet testing for its EX7710 Wi-Fi 6E Multi-Gigabit Ethernet Gateway. This firmware update, certified by OpenSync, allows the EX7710 to achieve multi-gig speeds across OpenSync’s HomePass and WorkPass applications. The EX7710 uses Speedtest Embedded by Ookla for bandwidth measurement. At the OpenSync Summit this year, an expanded roadmap for OpenSync Release 6 was announced, along with a new go-to-market model, Plume PxO (Powered by ODM), enabling partners to bundle Plume HomePass and Frontline service subscriptions into hardware sales.
