Established in 1907, it serves as the governing body of association football in the Philippines and is recognized as one of the oldest national football associations in Asia, also being among the founding members of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The PFF organizes the Philippines men's, women's, and youth national football teams, alongside national teams for the football variants of futsal and beach soccer. Furthermore, it is responsible for the organization of domestic football tournaments within the Philippines, including the Philippines Football League and the Copa Paulino Alcantara through the Liga Futbol Inc., as well as the PFF Women's League.
