Pixel Power, a privately owned company headquartered in the UK with parent companies Imagine Communications and Rohde & Schwarz, founded in 1987 and employing approximately 40 individuals, reported $6.7M in revenue as of 2024. The company specializes in video processing and playout, offering software solutions for master-control, automation, graphics, and branding, supporting full-functionality, reactive channel playout, available on-premise or in the cloud.
Imagine Communications President Steve Reynolds updated TV Tech on February 26, 2026, regarding the ongoing integration of Pixel Power, which Imagine acquired last fall. The acquisition's main goal was to broaden Imagine’s live production ecosystem and playout offerings through the integration of Pixel Power’s software-defined, deploy-anywhere platforms. Previously, on January 5, 2026, video systems integrator Qvest Group appointed Thorsten Sauer as its CEO, effective January 15. Sauer had most recently served as CEO of Pixel Power and vice president of media technology at its former parent company, Rohde & Schwarz. This followed news on November 25, 2025, that Concilium Technologies, an authorized distributor, was bringing an expanded range of solutions to Southern Africa, attributing it to Imagine Communications joining forces with Pixel Power. Imagine Communications originally announced its acquisition of Pixel Power from Rohde & Schwarz on October 20, 2025. The Denver-headquartered firm was reportedly attracted to Pixel Power's Cambridge, England-based development team, known for its graphics and playout workflows, and advanced multiviewer and monitoring systems.
