Originally established in 2003 by film producer Ronald "Dondon" Monteverde and director Erik Matti, the studio, rebranded from Reality Entertainment in late 2021, specializes in content rights, particularly progressive, high-concept genre fiction encompassing crime thrillers, psychological horror, and action-dramas. The company's intellectual property repository includes the On the Job media franchise (featuring the Venice Film Festival Volpi Cup-winning On the Job: The Missing 8 and its International Emmy-nominated HBO Asia series adaptation), the survival action thriller BuyBust, the horror features Seklusyon and Kuwaresma (The Entity), and the anti-corruption drama Honor Thy Father. Reality MM Studios maintains international film festival exposure at events such as Venice, Cannes, Toronto, and Sitges, and its domestic theatrical distribution catalog operates under a strategic partnership with mm2 Entertainment, which holds the rights to the Studio Ghibli library in the Philippines.
