On September 16, ProSiebenSat.1 appointed Ingrid Heisserer, previously chief financial officer and chief human resources officer at RTL Deutschland, as its new CFO, effective February 1. This followed an August 28 announcement by parent company Bertelsmann, which reported over 5 percent organic growth and a 45 percent increase in group profit for the first half of 2026, with revenues reaching €9.3 billion. Earlier in August, RTL's acquisition of Sky Deutschland provided a strong, though temporary, boost to its first-half results and Q2 financials. On August 11, the group reported a 3.9% year-on-year increase in turnover to €2.89 billion for the first half of 2026, primarily driven by Sky Deutschland, despite stable organic growth at 0.1%. On August 12, CEO Clément Schwebig cautioned that Sky's "seasonally favourable" contribution was not indicative of full-year results. Separately, RTL announced on August 8 that it would centralize online comments for its articles on RTL.lu, RTL INFOS, and RTL TODAY exclusively on social media platforms starting August 15, ending direct commenting on its sites.
