Russian Satellite Communications Company, also known as RSCC, is a state-owned company headquartered in Russia. RSCC CEO Alexey Volin stated on April 7, 2026, during Space Week in Krasnoyarsk, that satellite services are essential for providing connectivity and video to 27,000 Russian communities with populations of 50 to 100 people. This follows RSCC's signing of three contracts with JSC RESHETNEV, part of Roscosmos, on April 6, 2026. General Director Volin and RESHETNEV General Director Mikhail Valov signed the agreements for the creation of geostationary communications satellites Express-AT3, Express-AT4, and Express-AMU8 during a ceremony also attended by Roscosmos General Director Dmitry Bakanov and Deputy Minister of Digital Development Communications and Mass Media Dmitry Ugnivenko. Previously, on March 16, 2026, RSCC announced the tender results for the production of these three satellites, selecting RESHETNEV JSC for the manufacture of the Express-AT3, Express-AT4, and Express-AMU8 models. RSCC invited RESHETNEV JSC and Gazprom SPKA to participate in these tenders, which it announced on February 26.
