Saudi Esports Federation, a state-owned entity headquartered in Saudi Arabia, was founded in 2017. With approximately 130 employees, the company focuses on athletics and multi-discipline sports. Functioning as the regulating body, it is in charge of nurturing elite gaming athletes and developing the gaming community and industry within Saudi Arabia.
On August 27, 2026, the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BSF to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom’s financial sector and its esports industry. This partnership will explore sponsorship opportunities for major initiatives and tournaments, in addition to providing specialized executive banking services to the federation. Earlier, on July 10, Prince Faisal bin Bandar, chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation, addressed the industry's gender gap, noting that women constitute nearly half of global gamers but a small fraction of professional esports competitors, asserting that women possess the talent to compete at the highest levels. This followed the conclusion of the Saudi eLeague 2026 (SEL 2026) on June 8, which saw participation from entities like Yalla Group Limited.
