Saudi Motorsport Company, also known as SMC, is a state-owned entity headquartered in Saudi Arabia. Founded in 2021, the company operates with an estimated 330 employees. Specializing in spectator sports, SMC functions as the dedicated commercial and operational entity established to unify the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s motorsport events. It also serves as the first public body in Saudi Arabia focused on commercializing motorsport at a national level.
On February 24, 2026, Jeddah demonstrated its capacity to host multiple top-tier motorsport events in quick succession, staging the E1 World Championship's electric powerboat racing on the Red Sea waterfront, followed by Formula E's return to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Previously, on February 17, Formula E began exploring plans with Saudi Arabian authorities to adopt an extended configuration of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit for the Gen4 era beginning in 2026/27. Formula E had moved to Jeddah in 2025, designing a shorter 3km layout that bypassed significant sections of the full Formula 1 track after its previous Diriyah site became unavailable due to construction. Earlier, on January 28, 2026, Saudi Arabia's F1 Grand Prix stc received a nomination for the "Most Beautiful Event" award at the 2025 Formula 1 Organizers' Awards, recognizing joint efforts by the Ministry of Sports, the Saudi Motorsport Company, and title sponsor stc. This followed the December 30, 2025 announcement that 25 competitors represented Saudi Arabia in the Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia 2026, strengthening the Kingdom's presence in the event.
