Seneca College, a privately owned institution headquartered in Canada, founded in 1967, employs approximately 5000 individuals. Functioning as a multiple-campus public college in the Greater Toronto Area and Peterborough, Ontario, Canada regions, it offers full-time and part-time programs at the baccalaureate, diploma, certificate, and graduate levels.
On April 29, 2026, Seneca Polytechnic launched a new International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test centre at its Seneca@York Campus, partnering with British Council Canada to expand access to globally recognized English-language testing. This follows an agreement on April 28, when Seneca Polytechnic signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with North York General (NYG). This partnership aims to strengthen Ontario's health-care system by deepening collaboration between the two organizations, focusing on building the healthcare talent pipeline and supporting student well-being. The agreement will explore opportunities to expand Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences for Seneca students, strengthen recruitment pathways to support NYG's workforce needs, and promote education, research, and innovation in health care.
