Sharp announced on August 29 the sale of part of its LCD panel factory in Kameyama City, Mie Prefecture, to Topia for JPY1.2 billion. Aoi Electronics purchased Sharp's factory in Taki, Mie Prefecture, to establish a new production base for data center and advanced packaging applications. Sharp signed a sponsorship agreement with QT DIG ∞, a professional e-sports team.
