Slovak Telekom says it led in six categories of mobile network and 5G evaluation in Slovakia by Ookla Speedtest Awards in the first half of this year. The channels are available for users of the OTT service from the operator, but not IPTV or satellite TV customers. The lineup now includes 29 regional channels. From 01 July, the operator also stopped accepting new subscriptions to the Digi service due to the merger of Digi Slovakia with Slovak Telekom.

Slovak Telekom changes Magio TV's German channel line-up

Slovak Telekom plans to modify the line-up of its pay-TV service Magio TV, reports Zive.sk. It operator will remove certain German channels but add new ones to the World premium package. From 16 June, Magio TV is discontinuing ORF 1, ORF 2, ZDF and ARD but will add the German channels Kabel Eins, Sixx and N24 Doku to the World package instead. World costs EUR 3.57 monthly.

O2, Slovak Telekom lead porting gains in Q1

O2 Slovakia saw the most customers connect to its network in the first quarter of this year through number porting, according to figures collected by Zive.sk. It said O2 gained 2,815 telephone numbers via number portability. Slovak Telekom had a net gain of 1,525 telephone numbers in Q1. Orange Slovakia lost 2,351 telephone numbers through porting, and 4ka lost 1,974 numbers.

Slovak Telekom revenues rise 2% in Q1

Revenues at Slovak Telekom reached EUR 219.8 million in the first quarter of this year, up by EUR 3.6 million or 1.6 percent year-on-year, reports Zive. EBITDA dropped by EUR 1.2 million to EUR 101 million. The mobile subscriber base was 2.34 million, down by 8.2 percent. The active three-month subscriber base was 6,000 lower at 2.21 million.
