Slovak Telekom, a publicly owned company headquartered in Slovakia and founded in 1999, is a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. Its primary offerings encompass a range of telecommunications services, including internet access, fixed-line telephony, digital television (pay TV), information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, and mobile services.
Slovak Telekom reported revenues of EUR 864.3 million in 2024, a EUR 41.7 million increase compared to 2023. EBITDA increased by EUR 38.5 million to EUR 389.4 million, while capital expenditure reached EUR 175 million. The company's network sharing with O2 Slovakia expanded to seven additional sites: Galanta, Krupina, Nove Mesto nad Vahom, Presov, Sobrance, Vranov nad Toplou, and Ziar nad Hronom. This expansion will continue throughout the year. Ookla tests showed Slovak Telekom had the fastest mobile broadband speeds in the second half of 2024, with median download speeds of 102.38 Mbps and upload speeds of 20.33 Mbps. Finally, Slovak Telekom added the Slovak version of the Dvtv Extra channel to its Magio Sat and Magio TV services. The broadcaster JOJ plans to discontinue its Tuki TV channel, currently available on Slovak Telekom and Digi Slovakia's pay-TV services; Digi Slovakia plans to replace it with Jojko.
