Slovak Telekom is a privately owned telecommunications company founded in 1999 and headquartered in Slovakia. A subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, it employs approximately 1,480 people and generated revenue of roughly $1 billion in 2024. The company provides a range of telecommunications services to the Slovak market, encompassing internet access, fixed-line telephony, digital television, information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, and mobile services.
Slovak Telekom extended a licensing agreement with Canal Plus for three more years, ensuring subscribers continued access to Canal+ Sport 1, Canal+ Sport 4, and Canal+ Action channels. This includes Premier League football coverage. In the first half of this year, Slovak Telekom reported revenues of EUR 430 million, a 2.7 percent increase year-on-year. EBITDA also increased by 2.5 percent to EUR 204 million. In collaboration with Ateme, Slovak Telekom provided low-latency OTT streaming of the 2025 Ice Hockey World Championship, held from May 9 to 25, across Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
