Mavenir is a privately owned US-based telecommunications software company founded in 2017. Resulting from a merger of three pre-existing entities, the company develops and provides cloud-native software solutions to the communications service provider industry. Mavenir employs approximately 5,930 people.
On September 18, 2025, Mavenir received the ‘Customer Experience’ award at the FutureNet Asia Awards 2025 for its AI innovation in voice and messaging security. This award recognizes the most innovative AI application enhancing mobile user experience in the pan-Asian region. Also on September 18, 2025, Mavenir received industry recognition for its voice and messaging security suite, achieving over $500,000 in monthly savings for Tier 1 CSPs. A separate event, an NTT DATA webinar featuring TM Forum, Telefonica, NTT docomo, and Mavenir, discussed the potential of 5G Open and Virtual networks to improve the speed and cost-effectiveness of RAN network rollout. Mavenir's previous foray into radios, specifically massive MIMO technology, showed dramatically better energy efficiency than competitors' offerings, according to a 2023 report, although this venture ultimately proved to be an expensive failure.
Mavenir's customers primarily consist of telecoms and telecoms services companies. Examples of Mavenir's customers include Vodafone Idea, T-Mobile Czech Republic and Deutsche Telekom. Mavenir has commercial and technical partners like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Saudi Telecom Company (STC).
